Victoria Irwin - Homelessness
Victoria Irwin is a Pacific Northwest native who spent thirty years on the East Coast working as a journalist - ten years as a reporter for The Christian Science Monitor, and years freelancing for New York Newsday, American Birds, United Nations publications, Birder’s World, The Staten Island Advance, Richmond Magazine, and many nonprofits. She is also the author, along with photographer Stephenie Hollyman, of We the Homeless: Portraits of America's Displaced People (1988). Returning to the Northwest in 2008, Irwin and her family now live on Bainbridge Island where she works as events coordinator at Eagle Harbor Books
