One time Bainbridge resident, artist Suzanne Burns draws inspiration for her paintings and writings from the beauty of her Pacific Northwest surroundings. She says of her book Gardens of Light (1994): "I believe it is our duty to soar - above and beyond the norm - at least once before we die. Gardens of Light was written as an inspiration and a reminder that it is never too late to embrace new paths!” Burn’s book includes short essays on growing older and better, deeper and wiser. Also included in the book is some of Burn's own artwork.
