Susan Wallace is the author of the unique work Hair of the Dog: How to spin dog fur (1975). The 24-page booklet covers teasing and spinning techniques as well as advice on finding the right dog and dealing with reeking dog hair. A copy of the booklet in the local authors collection of the Bainbridge Public Library contains samples of spun dog hair.
