John Lawrence Nazareth - Poetry, Travelogues,
Play, Mathematics
John (Larry) Nazareth was born in Kenya, of Indian parents,
and attended schools in Nairobi and Bombay. He earned his B.S. and M.S. at
Cambridge, England and subsequently moved to the U.S. where he completed his
graduate studies in computer science at UC Berkeley. He has since held
appointments or pursued research activities in the U.S., England, Austria,
India, Brazil, and Australia. Nazareth is the author of over
seventy-five technical articles and has written six books in his discipline. He
has also written and self-published a variety of more personal books:

Faces of God and Other Poems (1986),
Reminiscences of an
Ex-Brahmin: Portraits of a Journey Through India (1996),
A Passage to
Kenya (2017) and the play
The Tease Spoons (2016). He is currently
at work on a book titled
Thou Art That and Other Essays: Reflections of
