The Library Gazebo Needs Your Help! The historic Bainbridge Public Library Gazebo needs critical repair for the safety of the patrons using it. This 20+ year old structure has serious rot on the roof and at the base of the eight pine poles supporting the gazebo. BPL has applied for a grant to Bainbridge Community Foundation’s Community Grant Cycle to help pay for the repair and restoration of the gazebo. The library gazebo is used for seminars and classes about the garden, it offers a place of rest, a place to read, a place for contemplation. The patrons of the library and our community - the children and the adults - visit it daily. BPL uses it for a meeting place on sunny days, and it’s a place for children who come from the nearby schools to safely play. The gazebo is a landmark and an integral part of our library and community. Won’t you help us fund the repairs to keep it safe for all who use it? |
