Eric Anderson - Dementia Care
Eric Anderson, known to most islanders as manager of T&C's espresso stand, is the author of Remember I Can't Remember (2012). The booklet grew out of his and his wife Heather's experience caring for an elderly relative. Being a caregiver to someone with dementia or Alzheimer's is physically and emotionally stressful. Information on how best to deal with the challenging situation is crucial. Anderson's primer focuses on aspects of dementia that we can control - how to respond to it, the importance of being an advocate for your loved one, as well as stress reduction and relaxation techniques for caregivers and family members.
