Aaron Elkins- Mystery
One of the most beloved and best-selling Northwest mystery writers, Aaron Elkins, is a one-time Bainbridge Island resident. Aaron Elkins's output, often written in collaboration with his wife Charlotte Elkins, is too prolific to list in detail. Suffice it to say that he is the creator of the modern forensic mystery, having pioneered the genre in 1982 with Fellowship of Fear, which introduced the Skeleton Detective, Gideon Oliver. Three decades and umpteenth books later Elkins is still going strong. Among his awards are a best-novel Edgar and a Nero Wolfe Award.
