Sally Robison - Local Interest
Sally Robison is a Winslow artist and author ofThe Permanent Guest’s Illustrated Guide to Bainbridge Island (2005) - a collection of columns she has written for the Bainbridge Review. Book One of the The Permanent Guest's Illustrated Guide is subtitled Winter and Spring. In it Robison reflects on island institutions such as Pegasus Coffee, Town and Country, the ferry, interspersed with fruitcakes the author has known and loved. Book Two is subtitled Summer and Fall. This volume includes musings about concerts at Waterfront Park, Bainbridge Island's July 4th celebrations, Mariner baseball and the occasional summer heatwave thrown in as a bonus. Both volumes are illustrated with wonderful drawings by the author. In 2011 Robison was named a Bainbridge Island Treasure.
