Borrowed Book
The way covers wing back
and pages fall open,
the way corners are turned down
to poems that reach me
like sunlight,
I begin to know you.
Toward the end
I find a sprig of dry weed
curved around a certain poem
as a marker,
and I want to say
yes, yes.
